Fishing for Bluefish and Fluke

My dad organized a charter fishing trip with the Rothstein Family. We chartered a boat with Benchmark Sportfishing. It was a great boat, very clean, well staffed and flexible. We had a great time. We caught so many bluefish that within the first hour of fishing, we started to throw them back. Towards the late morning, we switched the tackle and moved to bottom fishing for fluke and sea bass.

The fishing is much slower for these fish, but the eating is much better. I ended up getting a monster fluke. It was 27 inches and 7.5 pounds. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera, but Captain Nick had one.

Wedding in Pittsburgh, Visit to Phipps Conservatory

Kim and I had a wedding to attend in Pittsburgh. So, we decided to meet up with my friend Paul, his wife Jordy and his son Jack and go visit the Phipps Conservatory. It was a great visit and I was able to take some nifty pictures of all of the flowers and plants. Of course, we also made a obligatory visit to Primanti Brothers in Oakland.

New York City – 2 Days, 2 Different Reasons

Kim wanted to take a trip to New York City for the day to do some shopping and site seeing. We covered a lot of distance, seeing Rockefeller Center, eating at Stage Deli, walking Canal Street, seeing Ground Zero, and shopping at Century 21. All in all, a great trip for the day…pictures below…

In addition, the next day, Scott and I were going to Madison Square Garden to see the Virginia Tech vs Seton Hall game then the Duke vs Gonzaga game. A great double header, to say the least. So, I made the trip up there again to check out those two games, taking lots of pictures as well.

FAS Automobile Museum

My friend Paul knows the owner of the FAS Automobile Museum. It’s truly a private collection of some of the most rare racing automobiles in the world, from gull wing Mercedes Benz 300 SL, to Porsche 917s that ran in Le Mans, 1966 Ford Mark II, Alpha Romeo’s, Ferrari’s, Bugatti’s, you name it….

It is located in a private garage in Center City Philadelphia (I’m not going to give the address) and is owned by Dr. Frederick Simeone.

November 10, Texas Hold’em Tournament Results

The computer program that runs the tournament crapped out on me 3/4 of the way into the tournament, so that was a bummer. Some of the data was lost on that, but otherwise things went smoothly.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
