New York City – 2 Days, 2 Different Reasons

Kim wanted to take a trip to New York City for the day to do some shopping and site seeing. We covered a lot of distance, seeing Rockefeller Center, eating at Stage Deli, walking Canal Street, seeing Ground Zero, and shopping at Century 21. All in all, a great trip for the day…pictures below…

In addition, the next day, Scott and I were going to Madison Square Garden to see the Virginia Tech vs Seton Hall game then the Duke vs Gonzaga game. A great double header, to say the least. So, I made the trip up there again to check out those two games, taking lots of pictures as well.

Conshohocken Soap Box Derby, July 2006

Kim and I make an annual appearance at the Conshohocken Soap Box Derby, this year was no exception. We were also joined by my parents who braved the heat to see some kids race down Fayette Street. They didn’t last long and ended up back at my house in the air conditioning.

But, Kim and I lasted a couple of hours and got some great pictures.

Commerce Bank Cycling Championship

Kim and I biked down to Manayunk to see the Commerce Bank Triple Crown of Cycling- Philadelphia International Championship. A very long name for a very long race. The most famous part of the race is of course “The Wall”, one of the steepest climbing hills in professional bike racing (pictured below). Oh, and the fans like to party a bit – can you tell?

Pictures, as always, are viewable in the gallery…
